After finishing my 3rd year of university last December, I suspended my studies and returned to Taiwan. I enlisted in early January and was discharged in late April—feeling so great! Although I won’t resume my studies until September, I already moved back to Korea in the second week of May to get my life back on track, handle some visa and residency paperwork, and most importantly, practice drums! The school’s practice rooms are free, high-end, and comfortable, so why not?

I’ll probably head back to Taiwan again around late June or early July to wrap up some more paperwork. During this month or so in Korea, I’m planning to catch up with friends, work on my blog, and just lounge around to enjoy this rare bit of free time.

💇 Currently in the process of growing my hair out. That’s so hard.

📝 Plans
#

Me and my friends are planning a chill trip to Thailand during this summer. I hope Taiwan stock market can pay my flight tickets (๑´ڡ`๑) you know what I mean.

🏫 School

Although my graduation recital is still about 10 months away, I’m already considering which songs to perform. Currently, I plan to choose Dave Brubeck’s Take Five and Pat Metheny’s Bright Size Life . Plus, I need to write two original jazz songs. Even though I major in jazz, to be honest, I’m only here because I wasn’t that good at jazz and wanted to practice. Now, the thought of writing songs still gives me a headache.

Before leaving Korea for military service, I worked as an administrative assistant at the school’s international office for a year. I’ll be returning to that position when I resume studies in September—it’s a very nice job.

Since graduation is approaching, I’m constantly looking for ways to stay in Korea and work happily.

While my musical taste is omnivorous, it usually follows cycles. Recently, I’ve returned to Post-hardcore and emo-rock, like Pierce the Veil and Bury Me With You .

🤘 Concerts
#

I’m going to Seoul in mid-May to see KiiiKiii ’s first Fan Concert since their debut a year and a half ago ⁽⁽ ◟(∗ ˊωˋ ∗)◞ ⁾⁾
At the end of the year, I’m also going to see My Chemical Romance and Post Malone concerts.

Recently, my mom and my friend have been so obsessed with 《Pikmin Bloom 》. Listening to them talk about stuff I didn’t understand, plus the recent New Super Mario Movie collaboration and those adorable Nintendo Game Pak Decor Pikmin , I couldn’t resist and finally started playing too ʅ(´◔౪◔)ʃ

Other than that, It seems I’ve just been playing Pokémon—Pokémon Go, as well as the main series and spin-offs on Switch and 3DS. I’m almost finished with the main story of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! And Now I’m back in Korea, so I have my PC and PS4 again to continue playing Monster Hunter and Rainbow Six Siege.

🩻 Health
#

Starting this year, I’ve passed the “quarter-century” mark (25 years old) ( ´•̥ו̥` ). I’ve noticed my body starts aching more often in the past year or two. So, while I still love them, I’ve started drinking less alcohol and coffee, avoiding staying up late (actually a habit from the military), and started taking some health supplements. I’ve also started paying attention to information about regular health check-ups. I plan to get the HPV vaccine when I return to Korea.
